
M7 attacks Mp’s for pocketing 20M each says they have a case to answer,takes a swipe on truck drivers from Kenya,Tanzania,Rwanda and Burundi
President Museveni while addressing the country on the status of COVID-19 pandemic on Tuesday attacked Ugandan legislators for sharing 20M each among themselves at a time when the country is fighting the pandemic and many other Ugandans lacking what to eat.
“It would be morally reprehensive for Members of Parliament (MPs) to give themselves money for personal use when the country is in such a crisis, it’s totally unacceptable to me and the NRM.I have agreed with the speaker to donate the money to the district taskforces “ Museveni said.
Museveni went ahead and warned greedy Mps that had used the money for their personal gains that they have mountain of questions to answer before the Inspector General of Government (IGG) like what did you purchase?,what procedures did you use? How did you distribute among others.
Museveni says that leaders should be lead by example,thus chopping 1.4M Uganda Shillings of his salary to the national taskforce to fight covid-19.
ZZAAKE SHOULD BE PARDONED,NRM MP’S ARE ALSO CARRYING OUT ATTEMPTED MURDER
Museveni urged that it wasn’t justifiable to arrest Mityana municipality MP Hon.Francis Zzaake Butebi for allegedly distributing food and leave out NRM and some Minister’s that have been seen on several occasions doing so,he said that Zzaake and other politicians should be pardoned.
TRUCK TRIVERS SHOULD SLEEP IN TRUCKS,E.A FEDERATION A SOLUTION
The fountain of honor guided that although cases of COVID-19 within Ugandan,the only problem remaining are truck drivers, Museveni says that Uganda is only allowing one truck driver to enter instead of three,such a driver shouldn’t sleep in lodges or hotels but park in designated places to rest a bit and then continue with the journey.

Museveni also warned individuals most especially females with the habit of ‘touching’ drivers not to do so,he equated this to the famous ‘Togikwatako campaign’ this naming this ‘Tokwatako'(Don’t touch).
From 23rd April – 27th ,17 truck drivers have tested positive of the pandemic, something that has angered many Ugandans who are locked in their names.
Museveni also cited out the need to create the East African Federation to fight such pandemics.He said that former Ugandan president Milton Obote,rebel leder in Congo,Gibenyi and Tanzania’s Julius Kambarage Nyerere had laid a foundation although there’s need to revamp it.For Museveni,unity among East African countries would be a key factor in fighting COVID-19 caused by Coronavirus.

Museveni thanked Ugandan medical workers who have been at the forefront of fighting the pandemic since out of the 79 cases as of Tuesday,52 had been discharged from different hospitals,he added that the medical workers are very skilled, knowledgeable and capable.
Museveni is expected to address the nation again before 5th May 2020 to give the country a way forward.
